Marauder History
The Musky Marauders are highly-seasoned muskellunge fishermen that haunt the Northwoods of Wisconsin every year, for an annual hawg hunt. The Hunt combines several activities, primarily fishing, eating, and kicking back. There are over 50 Marauders, and each year approximately 35 or 40 of the Marauders make the trip up to Vilas county, Wisconsin. New Marauders are selected using the highest standards, and each Marauder participates in an extensive initiation process.
The
Ferguson brothers,
Tek Neek Tom,
JerkBait John, and
Marabou Mike, and their longtime friend,
Stalker Steve Diettrich,
founded the
Musky Marauders in 1987. These four men have shaped the Musky Marauders into a fishing
group famous throughout Vilas county for its highly spirited Spring hunt. Marauder colors
are red and black, and Marauders each receive a call name upon initiation. The members
are extremely competitive- each legal musky caught earns members a chance at winning the
annual Ultimate Marauder Award (UMA).
Please see the Official UMA Rules and
Regulations.
